Beijing Institute of Mechanical Equipment

The Beijing Institute of Mechanical Equipment was established in July 1970. It is the overall institute in China's aerospace field for ground-based, ship-based, submarine-based, air-based, and space-based equipment. It undertakes the research, development, and production of launch systems and ground equipment, missile-borne actuators, and space electromechanical products. It is a nationally recognized key military-support unit and a supporting unit for the National Natural Science Foundation of China. It possesses a professional technical system centered on seven major technologies: launch system overall design, launching, launch control, hydraulic transmission and control, servo control, power supply and power electronics, and loading, transfer, and transportation. It has successfully completed numerous pre-research, development, batch production, and support tasks for dozens of models, providing many ground (ship) combat, support, and missile-borne actuator products for users including the Army, Navy, Air Force, Rocket Force, and Strategic Support Force. It has been awarded 3 National Science and Technology Progress Special Prizes, 7 First Prizes, and over 140 other various achievement awards. Many technical innovations have filled gaps in the field, driving the upgrade and iteration of equipment construction. The products developed and produced have participated in six military parades: the 35th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the 50th anniversary, the 60th anniversary, the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, the 90th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army, and the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The Beijing Institute of Mechanical Equipment has made outstanding contributions to the motherland's aerospace industry, defense industry, and the modernization of equipment.
