Beijing SE Potevio Mobile Communications Co., Ltd., formerly known as Beijing Ericsson Putian Mobile Communications Co., Ltd., was established in August 1995. It is a high-tech Sino-foreign joint venture jointly invested by Sony Ericsson and its Chinese partners, serving as Sony Ericsson's global manufacturing base and supply center. The company achieves cost leadership, technology leadership, customer satisfaction, and quality excellence through its three main business operations: industrialization, manufacturing, and distribution.
As of August 2006, the company realized sales revenue of RMB 15 billion, export earnings of USD 1.4 billion, with products directly exported to 106 countries and regions. In the first half of this year, all production and sales indicators maintained double-digit growth compared to the same period last year. In 2006, the company was again selected among China's top 500 enterprises, China's top 500 manufacturing enterprises, and the China manufacturing list for communication devices, equipment, and spare parts.
