Hudong Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd. is a marine power assembly enterprise affiliated to China Shipbuilding Power (Group) Co., Ltd., established in 1958. In May 1998, Hudong Heavy Machinery Joint-Stock Co., Ltd. was listed. In December 2007, it completed asset restructuring and was officially renamed Hudong Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd. After sixty years of historical accumulation, the company has achieved full industry chain coverage of 'R&D, manufacturing, and service' and full spectrum coverage of 'low, medium, and high' power products.
The company has been recognized as a National Enterprise Technology Center, a Shanghai High-tech Enterprise, and a Manufacturing Single Champion Enterprise; it holds the民用核电安全电气设备设计许可证 and民用核电安全设备制造许可证 issued by the National Nuclear Safety Administration, the scientific research and production license, and the laboratory accreditation certificate issued by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS).
The company's main business includes the R&D, manufacturing, and service of marine high, medium, and low speed diesel engines and key heavy components; the development of green and environmentally friendly products and devices such as dual-fuel main engines; nuclear power emergency generator sets, land-based power stations, and other engineering machinery products; measurement and testing, training, and equipment maintenance. Currently, the company can produce full series of low-speed engine products under the MAN and WinGD brands, various types of medium and high speed engines such as MTU 956, 1163, MAN PA6(B), PC2-6(B), as well as HHM's self-owned brand EX340EF low-speed engine, self-developed 175 series high-speed engines, and 390 series medium-speed engines.
