Optoelectronics Industry Technology Research Institute

Wuhan Optoelectronics Industry Technology Research Institute is jointly established by the Wuhan Municipal Government and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and is managed and operated by the Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics. It is a collaborative innovation platform integrating functions such as generic technology research and development, pilot testing and maturation alignment, high-end industry incubation, and enterprise research and development services. Around the large number of scientific research achievements of the laboratory, the Optoelectronics Industry Technology Research Institute provides engineering technology research and development, achievement alignment, investment operation, and enterprise incubation necessary for industrialization, promotes scientific research achievements through the design and development stages of small-scale testing and pilot testing, incubates high-tech enterprises, builds a strategic emerging industry cluster of optoelectronics with a scale of 100 billion, and realizes the transformation from "innovation" to "creation".
Relying on the research and development resources of the Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics, the Optoelectronics Industry Technology Research Institute promotes regional industrial upgrading and real economic development through developing new technologies, creating new products, incubating new enterprises, and cultivating new industries. Up to now, the Optoelectronics Industry Technology Research Institute has promoted a total of 114 intellectual property transfers and transformations, with a transformation value exceeding 100 million RMB; gathered more than 100 high-level talents at home and abroad, and has more than 80 incubated enterprises, with a total valuation exceeding 1.39 billion RMB, and has cumulatively received various types of venture capital and industrial funds totaling 160 million RMB.
