Jiangsu Zhongnan Construction Industry Group Co., Ltd. (formerly Nantong Construction Engineering General Contracting Co., Ltd.) is a wholly-owned core subsidiary of Zhongnan Construction (000), and is the first listed company in Jiangsu Province integrating real estate and construction. It holds the national special-grade qualification for general contracting of housing construction, and class-A qualification for architectural design, as awarded by the competent authorities of housing and urban-rural development of China. Additionally, it possesses class-A qualifications for building decoration and renovation, lifting equipment installation, mechanical and electrical equipment installation, class-B qualifications for foundation and steel structure engineering, and municipal engineering, and is an enterprise approved by the national foreign trade and economic cooperation authorities to undertake overseas engineering contracting and dispatch labor services.
Established in 1988, after more than 20 years of development, the company has become the private engineering general contracting enterprise with the largest number of self-owned workers in China. It currently employs over 40,000 workers, and more than 1,500 professionals in various economic and technical fields, including over 500 with senior or intermediate professional titles. The annual construction capacity reaches 8 million square meters, with business operations spanning 22 provinces and cities nationwide, including Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hainan, Xi'an, Chengdu, Shenyang, Qingdao, Jinan, Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou, Nantong, Huai'an, and Qianjiang. It has also successively entered countries and regions such as the United States, Singapore, Algeria, Japan, Kuwait, and Russia, gaining a certain international reputation.
For many consecutive years, the company has been rated as a "Star Enterprise" and "Excellent Enterprise" by governments at all levels and competent authorities. It has been awarded the title of National Excellent Enterprise by the China Construction Association, Advanced Construction Enterprise of Jiangsu Province by the provincial government, and Science and Technology Advanced and Innovation Enterprise by the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department of Jiangsu Province. For six consecutive years, it has been rated as "Top Enterprise in Jiangsu Construction Industry" and "AAA Enterprise in Quality, Service, and Credit" in China. At the same time, it has been named as a "Contract-Honoring and Credit-Worthy Enterprise" by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce and Jiangsu Province, and has been awarded the title of "Excellent Enterprise from Outside Beijing" by the Beijing Construction Committee for three consecutive years, as well as the honorary title of "Model of Qilu, Worthy of Jianghai Iron Army" by Qingdao. Chairman Chen Jinshi was awarded the National May Day Labor Medal.
With advanced management methods and strong technical advantages, the projects undertaken by the company have successively won 17 Luban Prizes and Zhan Tianyou Prizes, over 50 provincial-level high-quality engineering awards such as the "Taishan Cup", "Yangtze Cup", "Great Wall Cup", and "Magnolia Cup", and more than 80 municipal-level high-quality engineering awards.
The company has constructed a complete industrial pattern integrating housing construction, building installation, building decoration, curtain wall engineering, door and window engineering, industrial equipment installation, steel structure, NPC and other new types of buildings.
