Furthermore to its Shanghai presence, BDS has representative offices in 5 different cities within China (Beijing, Changsha, Shenyang, Guangzhou, Qingdao).

Founded in 1956, the Bonfiglioli Group specializes in the production of geared motors, planetary gear reducers, electric motors, and frequency converters. The headquarters of Bonfiglioli is located in Bologna, Italy. It has six production and assembly plants in Italy and subsidiaries in 14 countries, with a sales network covering the globe.
Bonfiglioli Drives (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., established in December 2003 in Qingpu District, Shanghai, is a wholly foreign-owned enterprise of Bonfiglioli in China and serves as its production and sales headquarters in the country.
