JATCO Corporation is one of the world's top three transmission manufacturers and a leader in the field of continuously variable automatic transmissions. JATCO is also the world's only manufacturer with a full range of CVT products covering displacements from small to 3.5L. Currently, JATCO's products are distributed in multiple countries and regions across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, supplying transmissions (AT, CVT) to automakers such as Nissan, Mitsubishi Motors, Suzuki, Subaru, Renault, Renault Samsung, and Chrysler worldwide, with an annual supply of over 4.5 million units. In April 2007, JATCO (Guangzhou) Automatic Transmission Co., Ltd. was established in the Science City of Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, a high-tech-led area, as JATCO Corporation's second overseas wholly-owned production base, with a registered capital of US$75 million. It mainly produces continuously variable automatic transmissions (CVT).
The CVT produced by JATCO (Guangzhou) features a lightweight and compact design, offering superior mounting performance. Its wide-range gear ratio enables both rapid acceleration and fuel efficiency. Currently, the CVT produced by JATCO (Guangzhou) is successfully mounted on models such as TEANA, SYLPHY, X-TRAIL, QASHQAI, NEW SUNNY, and NEW TIIDA.
Within the thriving JATCO Group, JATCO (Guangzhou) shoulders the important task of promoting JATCO's core product, CVT, to the global market. To meet the rapidly increasing demand for CVT in the Chinese market, JATCO (Guangzhou)'s production capacity has been increased from an initial 144,000 units per year to the current 730,000 units per year, and the number of employees has grown to over 1,500. As the company develops, both production capacity and employee numbers are expected to increase further in the coming years. On the basis of the existing plant, in April 2012, the 'JATCO China Quality & Technology Center' was established. This center integrates customer quality assurance, SQA, development, and procurement functions, forming an efficient mechanism to respond promptly to market quality issues, vehicle application development, and parts localization.
The continuously variable transmissions produced by JATCO (Guangzhou) will contribute to environmental protection by fully and efficiently utilizing resources to promote energy conservation and emission reduction, providing high-quality products that better protect the environment.
