As a company dedicated to "Nutrition, Health and Wellness", Nestlé has a long history in China. As early as 1908, Nestlé opened its first sales office in China in Shanghai, becoming one of the first leading international companies to enter China. In 1990, Nestlé's first factory in mainland China began operations in Shuangcheng, Heilongjiang, and carried out localized production. After nearly 20 years of development, Nestlé now operates 21 factories in the Greater China Region. More than 98% of the products sold by Nestlé in China are manufactured within China, which provides competitive job opportunities for more than 13,000 local employees and has greatly promoted the development and prosperity of the local economy.

Being the world foremost Nutrition, Health and Wellness company, Nestlé has a long-established presence in China since it opened its first sales office in Shanghai in 1908. Nestlé was one of the first leading international companies to enter the Chinese market. In 1990 the company already started its local production by establishing its first factory in Shuangcheng, Heilongjiang Province,China.
Today, Nestlé operates 21 factories in the Greater China Region and employs 13,000 regular employees. 98% of NESTLé products sold in Mainland are locally manufactured.
