南京锅检院于1989年获得原劳动部颁发的《锅炉压力容器检验许可证》，开展了锅炉、压力容器、压力管道、液化气体汽车罐车、危化品常压容器、液化气钢瓶、特种气瓶、医用氧舱及其相关附件为对象的各方面的技术检验与服务，2003年取得计量认证资格证书，2006年1月取得国家特种设备检验检测机构核准证。南京锅检院拥有适应业务工作的设备与技术资源，汇集了工程热物理、化工机械、焊接、无损检测、材料、应用化学等专业的技术人员。
