Aerospace Electrical Group Co., Ltd. is located in Wuhan, a new first-tier city known as the thoroughfare to nine provinces. The enterprise is affiliated with the Ninth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. For a long time, the Ninth Academy's outstanding professional technology and products have played an important supporting role in China's aerospace science and technology industry and even the development and construction of the entire equipment sector.
In 1956, Wuhan Wire Factory was established. On November 15, 1995, Wuhan Cable (Group) Co., Ltd. was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange with stock code 600879. In 1999, China Aerospace entered Wuhan Cable Group Co., Ltd. In 2011, the cable production base in Hubei region -- Aerospace Electrical Group Co., Ltd. was officially established. With a registered capital of 630 million yuan and total assets of 4.6 billion yuan, Aerospace Electrical Group currently has more than 1,900 employees, including a core management team of more than 20 people and more than 400 middle and senior professional technical and skilled talents, and has several talents enjoying special government allowances of the State Council. At present, the group has four wholly-owned subsidiaries: Hubei Changtian Communication Technology Co., Ltd., Wuhan Cable Co., Ltd., Aerospace Ruiqi Cable Co., Ltd., and Hubei Aerospace Cable Co., Ltd.
As an enterprise within China's aerospace system producing cables for aviation, aerospace, ships, and other applications, in terms of technology, Aerospace Electrical has successively obtained more than 100 independent intellectual property rights and introduced advanced production and testing equipment from Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, and other countries. The enterprise has the extraordinary capacity to produce 300,000 kilometers of wires for electrical equipment, 150,000 kilometers of special wires and cables, 30,000 kilometers of medium and low voltage cables, more than 60,000 tons of steel-cored aluminum stranded wires, 60,000 tons of aluminum-clad steel wires, and 20,000 tons of aluminum alloy conductors annually.
