CRRC Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CRRC Group), approved by the State Council and authorized by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, is a wholly state-owned enterprise, the first industrialized group in China's rail transit equipment industry, a globally leading high-end equipment manufacturer and system solution provider with the largest scale, the most complete product range and first-class technology, and a backbone enterprise in clean energy equipment. It owns four listed companies: CRRC Corporation Limited, Wharton Technology Co., Ltd., Times Electric Company, and Times New Material Company. It has 406 wholly-owned and controlling subsidiaries at various levels, with 164,000 employees and total assets of 520.4 billion yuan. It has continuously maintained an "A" rating in the performance assessment of central enterprise leaders and the assessment of party building responsibility. Its brand value reaches 160.121 billion yuan, ranking first in China's machinery and equipment manufacturing industry.

CRRC Group has a 143-year entrepreneurial history, with its earliest origins dating back to 1881. In 2000, the China Railway Locomotive & Rolling Stock Industry Corporation, then under the Ministry of Railways, was separated to form two major groups: CNR and CSR. In 2015, CNR and CSR underwent restructuring and integration to establish CRRC Group. Since the establishment of the new CRRC, General Secretary Xi Jinping has inspected CRRC three times, issued important instructions, and praised CRRC products and technological innovation on multiple occasions. He has also repeatedly praised the "Fuxing high-speed train" at the biennial academician conferences, noting that it "has taken a key step from catching up to leading, the 600 km/h high-speed maglev test vehicle successfully completed trial run, and high-speed rail technology has set an international benchmark."
