Wuhan Yaopi Kangqiao Automotive Glass Co., Ltd. was established in Wuhan City, Jiangxia District, Jingang New Area, No. 18 Tongyong Avenue, with an investment of 277 million RMB by Shanghai Yaopi Kangqiao Automotive Glass Co., Ltd. The company covers an area of 156 mu, with a total of 186 employees. The first phase of the project completed major infrastructure work in January 2015, and equipment installation and commissioning began in May. The full line was completed and put into production in January 2016, with an annual production capacity of 1 million sets of automotive glass. Wuhan Auto Glass has introduced world-advanced automotive equipment production lines, such as Bystronic pretreatment lines, Glasstech tempering deep bending furnaces, Taifin front windshield continuous bending furnaces, and related automotive glass production line equipment. Among them, the tempered rear window line adopts continuous production, and the laminated part adopts line and robotic arm production, with a high degree of automation. The main equipment, including DBO-4 tempering furnaces, high-speed door tempering furnaces, and front windshield bending furnaces, are all mature in technology and stable in process, and the products produced can meet the needs of automobile manufacturers. In terms of new product development, the Kangqiao Auto Glass Technology Center is responsible for synchronous development with automobile manufacturers, and then transfers to the Wuhan factory for mass production. In the procurement of raw materials and auxiliary materials, Kangqiao Auto Glass utilizes its scale advantage for unified procurement prices, reducing procurement costs. Wuhan Auto Glass will closely follow the construction of the Central China Automobile City, promote the layout plan of auto glass in the domestic market, create a low-cost development model, reduce logistics costs, enhance competitiveness, and achieve a win-win situation for both supply and sales.
