Bosch HUAYU Steering Systems (Wuhan) Co., Ltd. is located at No. 66 Tongyong Avenue, Jingang New District, Jiangxia District, Wuhan City. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary established by Bosch HUAYU Steering Systems Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of RMB 138 million and a total investment of RMB 1.851 billion. The company specializes in the research, development and manufacturing of automotive steering systems and components, as well as auto parts. Its main customers include SAIC General Motors (Wuhan), SAIC Volkswagen (Changsha), Dongfeng Honda, GAC Honda, Geely Automobile, Changan Ford, SAIC-GM-Wuling, FAW-Volkswagen (Chengdu) and other well-known domestic OEMs. The company officially began production in October 2014, with cumulative sales of RMB 3.71 billion in 2020. In 2016, it was awarded the title of Municipal High-tech Enterprise, and in 2018, it was recognized as a Wuhan Intelligent Manufacturing Pilot Demonstration Project Unit and a Wuhan Model Harmonious Enterprise.
In April 2018, the R&D Technology Section of the Wuhan Plant was established. In May 2021, the Wuhan R&D Center was established. In January 2022, the Bosch HUAYU Steering Intelligent Driving Center was put into operation. In June 2022, the first production line of the ECU in-house manufacturing project at the Wuhan Plant went into mass production. In the future, the Wuhan Plant will integrate the Wuhan R&D Center, the Wuhan high- and low-speed test track, and ECU in-house manufacturing capabilities, possessing complete local steering system solution and software/hardware development capabilities.
