Bosch Huayu Steering Systems Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") is a joint venture jointly established by Huayu Automotive Systems Co., Ltd. (affiliated with SAIC Motor, ranked 36th in the 2018 Fortune Global 500) and Bosch Steering Systems GmbH (affiliated with the Bosch Group, ranked 75th in the 2018 Fortune Global 500). It is recognized as an advanced technology enterprise by the Shanghai Municipal Government and a high-tech enterprise by the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission. The Company's registered capital is USD 69.52 million, and its total investment increased to USD 446 million in 2015. In 2017, the Company's sales revenue exceeded RMB 9.3 billion.

The Company has wholly-owned subsidiaries in Yantai and Wuhan, with over 2,000 employees across the three locations. Among them, the newly established Shanghai R&D and Design Center in 2012 has more than 320 engineers, and its R&D laboratory enjoys the honor of being a "National Laboratory." To cultivate the software and hardware development capabilities of the R&D team, the Company also arranges mentoring partnerships between some employees and foreign experts to enhance advanced technology development capabilities.
