Hunan Building Materials Research and Design Institute

Hunan Building Materials Research and Design Institute Co., Ltd., formerly known as Hunan Building Materials Research and Design Institute, was established in 1958. In 1993, it was one of the first four scientific research and design institutions in China to be awarded Grade A qualifications for design and general engineering contracting in the national building materials industry. In 2002, during the restructuring of survey and design institutions in Hunan Province, Hunan Building Materials Research and Design Institute Co., Ltd. was established, abbreviated as Hunan Building Materials Institute (HNBMI). HNBMI is one of the most comprehensively qualified design, research, and testing institutions in the building materials industry in Central and South China, holding Grade A qualifications for national cement engineering, building engineering, non-metallic mining engineering, new building materials engineering design, general engineering contracting, engineering consulting, and engineering supervision, as well as Grade B qualifications for municipal engineering, metallurgical mining engineering design, and engineering geological survey, along with authorization from Hunan Province for building materials quality supervision and inspection. In recent years, HNBMI has actively pursued innovation, accelerated transformation and upgrading, and has grown into a comprehensive high-tech enterprise in the building materials and construction industries, integrating engineering consulting, engineering testing, engineering design, project management, technology and equipment development, equipment supply, general engineering contracting, and operation and maintenance. Adhering to the core corporate value of "Achieving Customer Success," HNBMI builds a full-process service system oriented to customer needs. Through years of effort, it has gradually formed a favorable situation of comprehensive development in three major business segments: building materials engineering, building and municipal engineering, and testing and research. In the building materials engineering segment, it has completed hundreds of projects in engineering design, research, and full-process services for various cement, new building materials, and non-metallic mining projects. Among them, the 4000t/d clinker cement production line EPC project for Tibet Zangzhong Building Materials Co., Ltd. set a new record for high-altitude cement production lines with "the largest scale, the shortest construction time, and the highest degree of intelligence," and won the first prize for excellent engineering design in China's building materials industry. While rooted in the domestic market, HNBMI adheres to the "Going Global" strategy and actively expands into the international cement engineering market, having completed engineering design, key equipment supply, commissioning to standards, and operation and maintenance for projects such as the Qarachog 6000t/d clinker cement production line in Iraq and the Adana 5000t/d clinker cement production line in Turkey. In the building and municipal engineering segment, it has completed over a thousand building engineering designs, dozens of municipal engineering designs, and hundreds of project supervision and agency construction projects. It has successively undertaken engineering design for projects such as the new medical area of Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, the new campus of Hunan College of Foreign Studies, the office building of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Hunan Branch, and the renovation of the Xiangya Red Building complex, as well as project management for Qingxin Garden and the comprehensive stadium of Hunan University of Technology, and the EPC project for the Xinning County Civic Service Center. At the same time, actively fulfilling corporate social responsibility, in aid to Tibet, aid to Xinjiang, and post-disaster reconstruction in Li County, Sichuan, it undertook engineering design for projects such as the Shannan Administrative Office Building, stadium, long-distance bus station, and Sangri County Water Plant in Tibet, and social welfare centers in Turpan and Shanshan County, Xinjiang, as well as project management for the Li County Cultural and Sports Center and Taoping Qiang Village in Sichuan, among which the Taoping Qiang Village project won the gold award of the "Tianfu Cup" in Sichuan Province. In the testing and research segment, HNBMI has been awarded the title of all-excellent unit in consecutive national cement quality index and chemical analysis inspection comparisons, successfully hosted the provincial cement and concrete proficiency verification organized by the Hunan Provincial Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau, Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department, and Transportation Department, and undertaken quality testing for national and provincial key projects such as expressways, railways, airports, central grain depots directly under Hunan, and large hydropower stations in the province, as well as internal control quality testing for famous real estate developers such as Vanke, Country Garden, and China Resources. To accelerate marketization and better serve customers, Hunan Taide Testing and Certification Co., Ltd. was established. HNBMI has long adhered to technological innovation, obtaining more than 30 Chinese invention patents and utility model patents, 1 national science and technology progress award, 2 provincial science and technology progress awards, and nearly 60 provincial and ministerial-level awards. It has led hundreds of various scientific research topics, achieved more than 120 scientific research results, and led or participated in the compilation of nearly 60 Hunan provincial technical specifications and standards. In recent years, it has further increased research and development of environmental protection and energy-saving and emission-reduction technologies and equipment for the building materials and construction industries, possessing independent intellectual property rights for the core technology and equipment of the firing system for 1000t/d to 10000t/d new dry-process cement production lines, and holding domestically advanced technologies such as combined oxygen-enriched combustion, cement kiln co-processing of municipal waste, low-carbon and low-nitrogen emissions, and lead-zinc tailings application, as well as energy-saving and environmental protection products such as TY series concrete admixtures, waterproof coatings, and grinding aids. HNBMI actively participates in the national "Belt and Road" strategy and expands into foreign markets, having undertaken more than 30 engineering design and full-process service projects in countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas, including South Yemen, Morocco, Kenya, Congo, Tanzania, Nigeria, Algeria, Oman, Iran, and Iraq, winning recognition from overseas customers with strong professional capabilities and good service.
