Nanyuetong

In November 2014, following the principle of "government guidance, voluntary enterprise participation, and market-oriented operation," the Guangdong Provincial Department of Transportation guided the establishment of the operational entity for the Guangdong Online Ticketing Project—Guangdong Nanyuetong Passenger Transport Network Center Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Nanyuetong Company"). Nanyuetong Company is mainly owned by departmental public institutions, large transport groups and station groups in the province, and leading enterprises in provincial transportation informatization. Under the guidance of the Provincial Department of Transportation, it carries out the construction and operation of the provincial bus online ticketing platform, and based on the big data platform for online ticketing, provides informatization services and business innovation support to passenger stations and transport companies, building a bridge and link for road passenger transport to embrace "Internet+", helping passenger transport enterprises continuously improve services and achieve transformation and upgrading. The Guangdong provincial bus online ticketing work was piloted in 7 passenger stations in 2009, was included in the first batch of provincial road passenger transport online ticketing system construction lists by the Ministry of Transport in 2014 with special fund support, and by September 2016, all passenger stations above level three had been connected, with the total number of connected passenger stations exceeding 400.
