光大环保能源（南京）有限公司（以下简称“南京公司”）是中国光大环境(集团)有限公司全资子公司，公司负责投资、建设、运营南京市江南生活垃圾焚烧发电厂项目。2012年1月19日，中国光大环境(集团)有限公司（原中国光大国际有限公司）与南京市城市管理局签署特许经营权协议（特许经营期30年），2012年3月30日注册成立南京公司。南京公司是国内*个采用（炉外脱硝）的生活垃圾焚烧发电项目，烟气中的氮氧化物排放浓度控制在80³以内，远远优于欧盟2010标准（200³）。该项目分两期建设，设计规模为日处理垃圾4000吨，一期工程总投资10.516亿元人民币，日处理生活垃圾2000吨，年处理生活垃圾73万吨，配置4台500吨日机械炉排焚烧炉，2台20凝汽式汽轮发电机组，配套建设1000吨日垃圾渗滤液处理系统；二期工程总投资9.87亿元人民币，设计规模为日处理生活垃圾2000吨，配置3台670吨日机械炉排焚烧炉，2台25凝汽式汽轮发电机组，扩建1000吨日垃圾渗滤液处理系统。自2014年6月26日并网发电截至2024年1月31日累计焚烧处理生活垃圾（1471.43）万吨，相当于节约填埋土地（1471.43）万立方米，累计发电（58.07）亿度，每吨垃圾发电（516.73）度以上，相当于南京市三口之家三个月的生活用电量。
