Shenzhen Construction (Group) Co., Ltd. is a large-scale construction enterprise with a long history, strong strength, and a brilliant future. Currently, it has a registered capital of RMB 620 million and holds qualifications including Special Grade General Contracting for Building Construction, Grade I General Contracting for Municipal Public Works Construction, Grade II Specialized Contracting for Foundation Engineering, and Grade II Specialized Contracting for Building Decoration. It has also passed the GB/T19001-2016 Quality Management System Certification, GB/T50430-2017 Quality Management Code for Engineering Construction Enterprises, GB/T24001-2016 Environmental Management System Certification, and ISO45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Certification.
The predecessor of Shenzhen Construction Group was the pioneer and entrepreneur who first carried out the infrastructure construction of the Special Economic Zone. In the early 1980s, in order to accelerate the pace of construction of the Special Economic Zone, 20,000 capital construction engineers, under the order of the State Council and the Central Military Commission, traveled south in dozens of military trains. In September 1983, they collectively transferred to Shenzhen and established Shenzhen Construction Company, which was renamed Shenzhen Construction (Group) Co., Ltd. in 1985. In December 1996, according to the decision of the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, based on the former Shenzhen Construction Group, a large state-owned asset operating company mainly engaged in real estate development and construction, and capital operation—Shenzhen Construction Investment Holding Company—was established, with total assets of 35 billion yuan. It once had 35 wholly-owned, controlling, and shareholding group enterprises, including 8 listed companies.
In October 2003, in response to the requirements of the reform of the state-owned asset management system, Shenzhen Construction Investment Holding Company merged with two other asset operating companies—Shenzhen Investment Management Company and Shenzhen Commerce and Trade Investment Holding Company—to form Shenzhen Investment Holding Co., Ltd. In December 2003, Shenzhen Construction (Group) Co., Ltd. was reorganized and engaged in substantive operations. In April 2007, according to the strategic deployment of the Shenzhen State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission on state-owned enterprise reform, Shenzhen Construction Group implemented an enterprise restructuring with management and employee shareholding. In 2011, Evergrande Real Estate Group acquired all equity of Shenzhen Construction Group through the public auction process of Shenzhen Property Rights Auction Co., Ltd. In November 2017, Shenzhen Jian'an (Group) Co., Ltd., on behalf of Shenzhen Investment Holding Co., Ltd., as the entity acquiring 83% equity of Shenzhen Construction (Group) Co., Ltd., returned to the state-owned sequence.
