Shanghai Moonton Technology Co., Ltd. was founded in 2014, with its headquarters in Shanghai, China. After years of development, the company now employs nearly 900 people (including over 50 overseas employees) and has established multiple branches in Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and other regions. In 2020, Moonton Technology was awarded the "2019-2020 National Key Cultural Export Enterprise" honorary title jointly issued by the Ministry of Commerce, the Central Publicity Department, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the State Administration of Radio and Television. From its inception, Moonton Technology has focused on exploring the global mobile gaming market. In April 2015, its first self-developed game, "Magic Rush", was launched globally. In November 2016, Moonton's flagship game "Mobile Legends: Bang Bang" was released. To date, "Mobile Legends: Bang Bang" has accumulated over 1 billion downloads worldwide, with over 90 million monthly active users. In countries such as Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines, "Mobile Legends: Bang Bang" has become a true national game. Meanwhile, Moonton Technology has established professional esports league systems based on "Mobile Legends: Bang Bang" in multiple overseas countries. In 2019 and 2021, "Mobile Legends: Bang Bang" was successfully selected as an official esports medal event in the Southeast Asian Games.
