(hereinafter referred to as: Highlander) was registered and established in 2001, became a supplier of naval equipment in 2004, and was listed on the ChiNext board of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in March 2010. It holds comprehensive qualifications and is a national-level 'Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative' 'Little Giant' enterprise. The company's main shareholders are the founding team, Hainan state-owned capital, and other social capital, with no foreign capital or foreign nationality background. Since its establishment over 20 years ago, the company has been deeply engaged in the high-tech marine field, guided by the strategy of building a maritime power, actively responding to the national call for maritime strategy and revitalizing marine technology, adhering to the mission of 'exploring the ocean and dedicating to it', and striving to become a 'global leader in intelligent navigation and a Chinese innovator in smart ocean practice'. Highlander has been listed in Forbes China's 2018 Potential Enterprises and the China Association for Public Companies' board list. In 2021, the company had over 700 employees and an output value of nearly 1 billion RMB. The company attaches great importance to independent research and development and innovation. To date, it has formed a series of core autonomous and controllable key technologies in radar, intelligent navigation, and smart ocean, with 108 patents granted and 67 under acceptance. In 2021, the company won the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. Due to its strength in marine technology, in 2022, the company and its subsidiaries were placed on the Entity List by the U.S. Department of Commerce. Relying on its own key technologies, the company's main business includes: 1. Intelligent navigation: providing comprehensive navigation equipment and intelligent navigation systems for ships; 2. Major marine equipment: constructing core equipment for marine three-dimensional observation networks—subsea junction boxes, atmospheric diving suits (which allow ordinary people to dive to 600 meters when wearing them), marine instruments, etc.; 3. Offshore radar observation network: the company has invested in and built 300 target radar stations, covering the entire China offshore area within 30 nautical miles (from Hainan to Liaoning), serving offshore defense and law enforcement; it has also built nearly 100 high-frequency surface wave radar stations to observe waves, currents, and wind fields within a 100-nautical-mile range, serving marine forecasting and marine environment monitoring; 4. Subsea Data Center (UDC): the company is the first enterprise after Microsoft to possess the complete technology and implementation capability for subsea data centers. The project will be implemented in Lingshui, Hainan Province, and it is expected that the first batch of data capsules, capable of housing nearly 800 servers, will be deployed under the sea within the year. Compared with land-based data centers in Hainan, it saves 50% energy, land, and water, and offers greater data security.
