Jiangxi Education Media Group Co., Ltd. is affiliated with the Education Department of Jiangxi Province. Its predecessor was Jiangxi Education Periodical Press, founded in 1950.
In May 2012, in accordance with the unified national requirements for the transformation of non-current-affairs newspapers and periodicals into enterprises, and under the unified deployment of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, Jiangxi Education Periodical Press canceled its institutional legal person status and abolished its institutional staffing, and was wholly transformed from a self-financing public institution managed as an enterprise into an enterprise, and Jiangxi Education Periodical Press Co., Ltd. was registered and established. In January 2015, upon the decision of the Education Working Committee of the Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee and the Education Department of Jiangxi Province, and with the approval of the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, Jiangxi Education Periodical Press Co., Ltd. was renamed "Jiangxi Education Media Group Co., Ltd." with a registered capital of 80 million yuan. In May 2015, "Jiangxi Education Media Group" was formally established.
At present, the group has 8 senior executives, 3 administrative departments, 16 subsidiaries, and more than 300 cadres and employees. The group edits and publishes 9 periodicals including Jiangxi Education, Teachers' Panorama, Friends of Senior High School Students, Friends of Junior High School Students, Friends of Primary School Students, Happy Children, Happy, Congming Quan, and Science Popularization World. The Jiangxi Reporter Station of China Education Daily *** is located in the group company. After years of meticulous cultivation, the periodicals under the group have won numerous honors. Jiangxi Education has been rated as a first-class periodical in Jiangxi Province. Teachers' Panorama has been rated as a "Double-Effect Periodical of China Periodical Matrix", "Excellent Periodical of East China", and "Excellent Periodical of Jiangxi Province". Friends of Senior High School Students has been rated as "Excellent Periodical of East China", "Excellent Periodical of Jiangxi Province", and "TOP100 Periodical of Chinese Online Communication"; Friends of Primary School Students and Friends of Junior High School Students have repeatedly been awarded titles such as national "100 Key Social Science Periodicals", "100 Excellent Children's Newspapers and Periodicals Recommended to Children Nationwide", "China Children's Gold Award Periodical", "Excellent Periodical of Jiangxi Province", "Influential Periodical in 60 Years of New China", "50 Most Popular Periodicals among Readers in 2013", and "First China Excellent Children's Newspaper and Periodical Award". In 2012 and 2013, the group won first place for two consecutive years, winning two major national cultural development support projects, namely the "Digital Publishing Technology Platform" project and the "Jiangxi Education Periodical LED Screen Resource Platform" project, and obtained a total of 18 million yuan in national cultural development support funds, once again standing at the * forefront of the industry. The "Red Education Campus Communication Base" project was launched. More than 100 schools across the province joined the "Red Education School Alliance", and 100 middle schools were equipped with red education LED screens. At the same time, an on-site exchange meeting for the provincial regional education resource platform was held in Shangli County. The group's fixed asset investment, the "Jiangxi Education Media Building" located in the core area of Honggutan, with an investment of 300 million yuan and a building area of 30,000 square meters, is under construction.
