Jiangxi Provincial Transportation Investment Group Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as "Provincial Transportation Investment Group" or "Jiangxi Transportation Investment") is a large state-owned wholly-owned enterprise approved by the provincial government. The Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission performs the investor's duties in accordance with the law under the authorization of the provincial government. The Group was officially established on November 28, 2009, and commenced formal operations on January 1, 2010. With the approval of the provincial government, on December 30, 2020, the former Jiangxi Provincial Expressway Investment Group Co., Ltd. was renamed Jiangxi Provincial Transportation Investment Group Co., Ltd., embarking on a new journey to build a domestic first-class comprehensive transportation state-owned capital investment company. As of December 2022, the Group's registered capital was 9.505 billion yuan, total assets reached 401.3 billion yuan, and net assets were 148.6 billion yuan. It directly manages 16 wholly-owned and controlling subsidiaries (including 2 listed companies), 11 directly affiliated road section management centers, and 14 equity-participating subsidiaries, with a total of 863 affiliated units and more than 18,000 employees. Its corporate credit rating is AAA, and it has been listed among China's Top 500 Service Enterprises for many consecutive years. It operates and manages 5,790 kilometers of expressways, accounting for 86% of the province's open-to-traffic mileage, with 314 toll stations and 107 pairs of service areas. Its business layout is mainly divided into four major sectors: investment, construction and operation of transportation infrastructure, engineering construction, financial investment, and road domain resource development.

Project construction seeks speed while ensuring quality. Jiangxi's expressway construction started in the late 1980s. The province's first expressway, the Nanchang-Jiujiang Expressway, was completed and opened to traffic in 1993. As of December 2022, the province had built 72 expressways with a total open-to-traffic mileage of 6,731 kilometers, ranking 13th in the country. It has opened 28 provincial exit channels and basically completed the expressway network of "four vertical, six horizontal, eight radial and seventeen connecting" routes. It is the third province in the country, after Henan and Liaoning, to achieve "expressways in every county," with 76% of counties and districts connected by dual expressways and 75% of townships able to access expressways within half an hour. The province's expressway open-to-traffic mileage accounts for 3.7% of the national total, exceeding the province's share of the national total in economic output, population and land area, creating a remarkable "Jiangxi Speed." The Jingwuhuang (Chang) Expressway invested and constructed by the Group won the "Zhan Tianyou Award," the Jiujiang Yangtze River Highway Second Bridge won the "China Construction Engineering Luban Prize" and the "Zhan Tianyou Award," the Guangji Expressway was listed in the first batch of national typical demonstration projects for green highway construction, and the Ningding Expressway was selected into the first batch of smart expressway science and technology demonstration projects of the Ministry of Transport. It has won more than 60 various science and technology awards in total.

Enterprise operation seeks excellence while being practical. Since its establishment, the Group has based itself on its main expressway business, vigorously developed industries such as engineering construction, financial investment, and road domain resource development, and initially formed an industrial pattern with transportation infrastructure investment, construction and operation as the main line and coordinated development of multiple industries. In the engineering construction sector, it gives full play to the advantages of 1 special-grade and 4 first-grade general contracting enterprises for highway engineering construction, has formed a full industrial chain in project design, construction, supervision, and consulting, actively implements the "going global" strategy, gradually expands market development to national and overseas markets, and gradually expands its business fields to infrastructure construction such as ordinary national and provincial roads, municipal engineering, and railways. In the financial investment sector, through issuing corporate bonds and forming syndicated loans, it has raised more than 750 billion yuan in total, becoming one of the highway enterprises with the most financing channels and the lowest financing costs in the country. It invested 5.1 billion yuan to establish Jiangxi's third finance company, invested 4.08 billion yuan to become the largest shareholder of Bank of Jiangxi and boost its listing, and completed a capital contribution of 12.7 billion yuan to Guangdong Development Bank, becoming the province's first enterprise to take equity in a national commercial bank. It invested in Jiangxi United Equity Exchange Center and became a joint largest shareholder. In the road domain resource development sector, it actively explores integrated development such as "transportation + energy," "transportation + cultural tourism," "transportation + real estate," and "transportation + minerals," steadily advances industries such as petrochemicals, photovoltaics, natural gas, gas stations, and mineral resource development. Its photovoltaic projects pioneered large-scale and multi-type photovoltaic applications on domestic expressways. It invested in and constructed the Leigong'ao Cultural and Sports Industrial Park, self-driving RV campsites, and others, further enriching its business formats.

Operation and management seeks progress while maintaining stability. In road maintenance, it vigorously implements road repair and reconstruction, ecological greening improvement, and road domain environment improvement projects, and the province's expressway excellent road condition rate remains at the forefront nationwide. In the "13th Five-Year Plan" expressway national evaluation work, the Group's results remained in the country's first tier, with public satisfaction ranking first nationwide. In toll services, it vigorously promotes fast, courteous, and convenient services, promotes "station office front-loading + service integration," advances the construction of a comprehensive scheduling system for smart monitoring and early warning of congestion and slow traffic. The one-time ETC pass rate reached 99.62%, and the over-limit rate at toll station entrances is the lowest in the country. A number of nationally renowned window brands such as "Yingshanhong" have emerged, as well as 15 "Most Beautiful Chinese Road Sisters" and 12 "Most Beautiful Chinese Road Sister Teams." In service area operations, it deeply carries out service area quality improvement and upgrading projects, builds service areas as "cultural tourism complexes, commercial and entertainment industrial parks, and travel destinations," implements the "store operation" model, and is the first in the country to promote "same city, same price, affordable consumption." Following the idea of "one area, one feature," it strives to build its service areas into new stations serving the people's better travel, new windows displaying Jiangxi's distinctive culture, and new corridors carrying expressway road domain economic development. Seven pairs, including Longhu Mountain and Lushan West Sea, were rated as "National Top 100 Demonstration Service Areas," and 26 pairs, including Sanqing Mountain and Shizhong Mountain, were rated as "National Excellent Service Areas." In industry civilization, the Group has successively won titles such as the National May 1 Labor Award, National Transportation Culture Construction Demonstration Unit, and National Model Harmonious Labor Relations Enterprise. It has been listed among China's Top 500 Service Enterprises for many consecutive years, was awarded the title of Meritorious Enterprise in "Ten Major Events of Jiangxi Economy" four times, and has won more than 610 honors at or above the provincial and ministerial level in total.
