Guangzhou Social Welfare Institute (also known as Guangzhou Children's Welfare Institute, Guangzhou Second Social Welfare Institute, Guangzhou Second Children's Welfare Institute, and Guangzhou Children's Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center) is a direct subordinate public welfare first-class public institution of Guangzhou Civil Affairs Bureau. Founded in 1957, it currently has two campuses, Longdong and Huangpu, covering a total area of 212,000 square meters, with a total of 1,750 beds. The institute primarily provides care, medical treatment, rehabilitation, and education services for orphaned and disabled children and abandoned infants, and is a comprehensive children's welfare institution integrating 'seven functions': nurturing, treatment, education, rehabilitation, rescue, scientific research, and training.
