Founded in 2014, Liuyi Education Group is one of the first online children's quality education companies in China. It owns three online quality education products: Hualala Children's Art, Hualala Little Lighthouse, and Gubi Enlightenment, dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of different families for quality education.
The company's headquarters is located in Guangzhou, with subsidiaries, branches, and teaching R&D bases in Beijing, Wuhan, Xi'an, and Hangzhou. As of now, the company has over 4,000 employees. The core leadership team mostly graduated from prestigious universities such as 985/211 institutions, and come from well-known education and technology companies such as Huawei, Tencent, Alibaba, Meituan, Didi, New Oriental, and TAL Education. In addition, the key members come from various fields including teaching R&D, teaching services, product planning, and software development. Since its inception, the company has completed 6 rounds of financing in domestic and international capital markets, totaling hundreds of millions of yuan.
As of January 2021, Liuyi Education Group's students have covered nearly a hundred countries and regions worldwide, with the United States, Canada, and Australia being the three countries with the most overseas students. Hualala has over a million registered students; Hualala Little Lighthouse has over ten million registered users.
Since its establishment, the company has repeatedly won various honors and authoritative certifications, including Tencent's 2019 Quality Education Influential Brand, Sina Education's 2019 Brand Influential Quality Education Institution, 36Kr's 2019 "King of Quality Education", Deloitte's 2020 Guangzhou High-Tech High-Growth 20, Forbes China's 2020 High-Growth Gazelle Enterprise List, and Sina's 2020 Five-Star Gold Medal Teaching R&D Team. In 2020, it became the first online education enterprise in China to collaborate on research with the Social Art Education Research Institute of the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University.
