Sichuan Yema Automobile Joint-stock Co., Ltd. is a national automobile brand with independent R&D capabilities and independent intellectual property rights. It has developed into a group company integrating design, R&D, production, sales, and service, and is a key automobile manufacturing enterprise in the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" of Sichuan Province, Chengdu City, and Mianyang City.
Yema Automobile was born in the late 1980s. Its "Jinding" brand buses, "Yema" and "Bailu" brand off-road vehicles and passenger-cargo dual-purpose vehicles were once popular nationwide, especially the "Yema" brand off-road vehicles, which were the designated vehicles for the national "public security, procuratorial, and judicial" systems. In 2002, Sichuan Fulin Industrial Group Co., Ltd. implemented an overall merger and reorganization of Yema Automobile, making it a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fulin Group.
Currently, the company has established two automobile production bases in Chengdu and Mianyang, focusing on the R&D and production of buses, SUVs, MPVs, new energy vehicles, and powertrains. The Mianyang base is located in the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Park of Mianyang High-tech Zone, covering an area of 1,200 mu with a total investment of 3 billion yuan. The first phase primarily involves the construction of 120,000 square meters of vehicle production workshops, forming the four core automotive processes. The second phase includes the construction of R&D centers, pilot workshops, seat production workshops, and logistics warehouses, totaling 110,000 square meters. After the completion of the Mianyang base, it has an annual production capacity of 120,000 traditional energy passenger vehicles and new energy vehicles. The Chengdu base is located in the Longquanyi Economic and Technological Development Zone of Chengdu, covering an area of 500 mu, with an annual production capacity of 80,000 passenger cars and 5,000 various types of buses.
Yema Automobile covers 8 major series of passenger cars, buses, and new energy vehicles (passenger cars, highway buses, city buses, diesel buses, natural gas buses, tourist buses, pure electric passenger vehicles, and pure electric buses), with more than 40 vehicle models and over 60 products. The product sales network covers more than 30 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions nationwide.
Yema Automobile has successfully introduced the Fortune 500 quality control management system, adopting international standards to strictly implement vehicle manufacturing processes, creating high-standard national vehicles comparable to international levels. While developing advanced products with independent intellectual property rights, it strengthens cooperation with domestic enterprises and research and development institutions. Currently, it has established cooperative relationships with relevant institutions in Germany, Japan, the United States, South Korea, Taiwan, and other countries and regions. More than ten major cooperative development projects are underway, striving to utilize global top-tier automotive manufacturing expertise for local benefit.
To further improve overall vehicle quality, the company has introduced Korea's DPEK Company to participate in vehicle quality cultivation and SQE activities, including simultaneous engineering of the four major processes (stamping, welding, painting, and final assembly) and the construction of a new factory system. In terms of chassis tuning and NVH development and calibration, the company has engaged in in-depth cooperation with the UK's Mira Company, which has outstanding achievements in vehicle engineering design (chassis and body-in-white) and vehicle attribute development (NVH, braking, thermal management, safety, durability, etc.), aiming to help Yema Automobile gain recognition in the global automotive field.
