Dongfeng Faurecia Automotive Interior Co., Ltd. was jointly funded by Dongfeng Hongtai and Faurecia (China) with a total investment of RMB 460 million. It was officially inaugurated and began operations on July 1, 2015, formed by the merger of the former Faurecia Interior Plant, Hongtai Shenguang Molding, and Hongtai Changpeng Plant. Dongfeng Hongtai Holding Group Co., Ltd. is a holding subsidiary of Dongfeng Motor Corporation, mainly engaged in automotive components, industrial services and logistics, and automotive aftermarket businesses. Faurecia (China) Investment Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the French Faurecia Group. The French Faurecia Group is a leading global automotive components supplier and a publicly listed company on the Paris Stock Exchange. Dongfeng Faurecia Interior's main business areas cover instrument panels/cockpit modules, door trim panels, noise and vibration reduction parts, two-tone high-gloss interior and exterior injection-molded parts, and medium-to-large injection-molded parts. It mainly provides supporting services for Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën Automobile, Dongfeng Honda, Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle, and other OEMs. The new plant was relocated in August 2016, situated on Houguanhu Avenue in Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone, covering an area of approximately 33,000 square meters, adjacent to Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën Automobile Plant 3 and Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle Company. It has an independent R&D center and laboratory, and currently has more than 200 employees.
