Datang Technology Industry Group Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned professional subsidiary of China Datang Corporation. Headquartered in Beijing, the capital city, its business covers domestic and Southeast Asian regions. It is the main platform for the development of the technology industry sector of China Datang Corporation and is responsible for implementing the development strategy and planning of the technology industry of China Datang Corporation.
The company has nine subsidiaries and branches, namely: Beijing Branch, Henan Branch, Anhui Branch, Jiangsu Branch, and Environmental Protection Branch of China Datang Group Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., China Datang Group Technology Engineering Co., Ltd., Datang Nanjing Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., Datang Beijing Energy Management Co., Ltd., and Datang Qingdao Water Co., Ltd.
The company's business scope covers desulfurization (denitrification) franchised operation, product equipment manufacturing, power engineering, energy management, water treatment, and other fields. It has formed three core businesses: "professional operation of environmental protection facilities, research and manufacturing of high-tech products, and general contracting of power plants and subsystems." Through scientific management, advanced technology, a high-quality talent team, high-quality project execution, and comprehensive services, it has become an important competitor in the domestic power and environmental protection fields, with its main industries ranking among the top in China. As of the end of June 2013, the company's total installed capacity for desulfurization franchised operation was 30,405 MW, with total desulfurization assets of 2.46 billion yuan, ranking second nationwide. The company has built a technologically leading plate-type denitrification catalyst production line base with the world's largest production capacity, with a designed maximum annual production capacity of 40,000 cubic meters. Its catalyst products have been recommended by the China Electricity Council and included by the National Development and Reform Commission in the "Catalogue of Environmental Protection Industry Equipment (Products) Currently Encouraged by the State." In the field of power plant and subsystem general contracting, the company has achieved EPC general contracting performance for 2×300MW power plants and for petrochemical industry power plants. Its cumulative business volume in denitrification engineering ranks second in China, and it has secured multiple overseas general contracting projects in Thailand and India.
Over 90% of the employees at the company's headquarters hold bachelor's degrees or above, with more than half holding master's degrees. Key personnel and those in critical positions are high-level managers with senior professional technical qualifications or professional (practice) qualifications. The company has solid scientific research and development capabilities. As of July 2013, the company has accumulated 5 national invention patents, 75 utility model patents, and 12 software copyrights. In Beijing, it has established the "Postdoctoral Scientific Research Workstation," the "China Datang Group Desulfurization Engineering Technology Research Center," and the "China Datang Group Denitrification Engineering Technology Research Center"; in Nanjing, it has established the "Denitrification Catalyst Testing Center" and the "Key Laboratory for Denitrification Catalysts." The company's independently developed urea pyrolysis ammonia production technology has passed the evaluation of the China Electricity Council. Utilizing the industrial platform for "industry-university-research" cooperation, it has cooperated with Southeast University to establish the "Dongda-Datang (Nanjing) Environmental Protection Technology Joint Research Center." Datang (Beijing) Energy Management Co., Ltd. has successively obtained the energy audit qualification from the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission and has been filed as an energy-saving service company by the National Development and Reform Commission.
