Saina Biotechnology (Beijing) Co., Ltd., founded in 2015 by the team of Academician Xie Xiaoliang, Professor Huang Yanyi, and Dr. Chen Zitian from Peking University, is headquartered in Yizhuang Economic Development Zone, Beijing. It is a high-tech enterprise integrating gene sequencing technology R&D, transformation, production, and marketing. Relying on two internationally original core sequencing technologies, Fluorogenic and Error-Correcting Codes (ECC), the company has developed and produced a gene sequencing platform with fully independent intellectual property rights, providing upstream tools for gene detection and more accurate, simple, and fast solutions for the industry.
Saina Bio has filed 97 intellectual property applications, with 47 granted, and core technologies have received PCT authorization in the United States. The company possesses comprehensive chemical and enzyme raw material production bases, a GMP reagent production workshop, an instrument manufacturing factory, and a professional R&D team, with independent and controllable product production capabilities and R&D strength. Saina Bio and its subsidiaries have been awarded titles such as National High-tech Enterprise, Zhongguancun High-tech Enterprise, Zhongguancun Frontier Technology Enterprise, and Beijing "Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative" Small and Medium-sized Enterprise. In 2018, the company completed the construction of a new GMP production plant in Yizhuang Development Zone, and in 2020, it established a Guangzhou subsidiary.
