Introduction

Amashi Eye Clinic is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Girdy Group, a national chain of ophthalmic refractive correction hospitals, and also the refractive teaching base of the Department of Ophthalmology, Second Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. Guangzhou Amashi Eye Clinic was established in 2010, gathering world-class refractive correction technologies and renowned authoritative experts to provide professional and safe laser correction services for millions of patients with refractive errors. Amashi Eye Clinic took the lead in introducing the German Carl Zeiss Visumax equipment and the Amaris 1050RS excimer laser equipment, combining strengths to ensure the safety and reliability of refractive correction. It is also currently the only ophthalmic hospital in China with two German Zeiss full femtosecond and two FS1050 devices. The internationally top-tier medical equipment used by Amashi Eye Clinic represents the current gold standard in the industry, safeguarding every patient who desires clear vision, using the most accurate data to achieve more perfect results.

Amashi Eye Clinic is affiliated with Girdy Group. Girdy, originating from Taiwan, China, was founded in 1977. Girdy is primarily engaged in clothing, with 6,000 specialty stores nationwide. The group has more than 40 subsidiaries, covering fields such as women's wear, handbags, accessories, medical care, education, real estate, hotels, food, e-commerce, advertising, photography, liquor, daily chemicals, entertainment, and coffee chains. With strong strength, its teams are spread across major provinces in China. Amashi Eye Clinic, as the field where Girdy currently invests the most effort, is developing rapidly, and a professional medical team has been established. Since the opening of the first Guangzhou general hospital, nearly a decade ago, hospitals have successively opened in major cities and femtosecond surgeries have been carried out.

In 2003, Girdy invested in and operated the Amashi Eye Clinic Full Femtosecond Laser Center, which exclusively possesses the most cutting-edge international systems: the German Zeiss Visumax full femtosecond laser system and the German Zeiss Mel80 excimer laser system, enabling correction surgeries for myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia using femtosecond lasers. Currently, hospitals have been established in Guangzhou, Beijing, Lanzhou, Guiyang, and Kunming, and will successively open in Wuchang, Chongqing, Qingdao, Hankou, Chengdu, Jinan, Shanghai, Xi'an, Shenzhen, Nanning, Hangzhou, and Changchun.
