SCHMIDT SMI Kitchen Cabinets is a French top kitchen cabinet brand, affiliated with Schmidt Groupe, a renowned French kitchen solution provider and cabinet exporter. In 2014, it was introduced into China by Suofeiya, a giant in the custom home furnishing industry. Schmidt Groupe was founded in 1934 and is the first French cabinet manufacturer certified with ISO9001, and is also the first kitchen manufacturer certified in various aspects including quality (TUEV-SAAR-CERT-ISO 9001-ISO-14001-OHSAS 18001 certification), social and environmental protection (PEFC certification \/ NF-Environnement Mark French environmental label). It owns four industrial parks in Europe. In 2014, Schmidt Groupe established a strategic cooperative relationship with Suofeiya, China's leading custom home furnishing company. The SCHMIDT brand was introduced into China by Suofeiya and rapidly promoted the development of the whole kitchen cabinet market in China through Suofeiya's existing premium channels. SMI Kitchen Cabinets Co., Ltd. is a joint venture between Suofeiya Home Co., Ltd. and Schmidt Groupe. In 2014, SMI invested over 400 million RMB to build an industrial park in South China, covering an area of 68,000 square meters for the production base, with a total plant floor area of 100,000 square meters. The industrial layout, software, and hardware are fully synchronized with the French headquarters, committed to building a fully automated and informatized flexible production system, improving production efficiency through scientific fine management. It is currently one of the most efficient and advanced kitchen cabinet production bases in Asia and even the world. With the development of SCHMIDT SMI in China, in April 2017, SMI launched an expansion plan for its Central China production base, with an investment amount of 800 million RMB. The project will be constructed in phases, with an expected investment period of 4 years.
