Chongqing Shiyi Product Quality Testing Co., Ltd. was established in October 1984. It is affiliated with Chongqing Department Store Co., Ltd. and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chongqing Commercial Group Co., Ltd. It is a statutory quality inspection institution authorized by the State and Chongqing Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision. Its currently authorized names include: Chongqing Shiyi Product Quality Testing Co., Ltd., China General Chamber of Commerce Product (Commodity) Quality Supervision and Testing Center (Chongqing), Chongqing Electronic and Electrical Appliance Commodity Quality Supervision and Inspection Station, and Chongqing Hardware Commodity Quality Supervision and Inspection Station.
The company is a compulsory product certification inspection body designated by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of China. It is among the few dozen key designated institutions selected from more than 20,000 inspection bodies nationwide and undertakes national CCC certification inspection work. At the same time, it is also a judicial appraisal inspection institution in Chongqing, undertaking judicial appraisal work for the Chongqing Higher People's Court and other courts at all levels. It is an accredited laboratory of the Chongqing Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau and a Chongqing construction engineering quality testing institution. In 2011, it obtained national energy-saving certification inspection qualifications. In 1984, it obtained Chongqing metrology accreditation (CMA) and CAL qualifications. In 1997, it obtained national metrology accreditation (CMA) qualifications. In April 2001, it became a nationally accredited laboratory (NO. CNAS L0418). At the same time, according to their respective authorized scopes, it undertakes national and local product (commodity) quality supervision and random inspection work.
