The China (Guangzhou) Intelligent Equipment Research Institute, also known as Guangzhou Intelligent Equipment Research Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Guangzhou Intelligent Institute"), is jointly established by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, the People's Government of Guangdong Province, and the People's Government of Guangzhou Municipality. It is led by the Fifth Institute of Electronics of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and serves as a public service institution and a new-type research institution for the intelligent equipment industry chain. The institute was prepared and registered in 2015, located in Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, one of China's first batch of national economic and technological development zones. The company covers an area of about 40 mu, with a scientific research building area of approximately 22,000 square meters.

The institute has been committed to building a development system centered on "supporting the government and serving enterprises," with research and service directions including "industrial policy planning, design and testing services, common technology research, standard development and revision, talent introduction and cultivation, and technology trading and incubation," contributing to the realization of China's dream of becoming a manufacturing powerhouse.
