Chongqing Precision Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the Company) was established in 2016. It is a high-tech enterprise jointly founded by the technical team led by Professor Qian Cheng, a renowned scientist in precision medicine, and the listed company Zhifei Biological (Zhirui Investment). The Company takes gene and cell therapy technologies as its entry point, focuses on the development and application of CAR-T cell drugs, and is committed to building a global innovative biopharmaceutical enterprise.
The Company has established an Industrial Technology Research Institute, a Postdoctoral Workstation, and a Overseas Expertise Introduction Workstation, and has been approved for platform qualifications such as Chongqing New High-end R&D Institution, Key Laboratory, Engineering Research Center, and Engineering Technology Research Center; it has built a 15,700-square-meter fully equipped and powerful cell drug IND and NDA platform, possessing highly intelligent production lines for plasmid, vector, and cell preparation and an online testing and quality control platform. It is a public service platform for biopharmaceutical R&D specially supported by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and others; the Company has gathered more than 20 domestic and international experts and masters, currently has 289 employees, and has assembled 223 R&D elite team members (including 53 master's and doctoral students); through independent research and development, the Company has mastered core technologies in the field of cell therapy and possesses cutting-edge key technologies such as future universal CAR-T and solid tumor CAR-T, has applied for 62 invention patents for core key technologies, obtained 16 domestic and international patent authorizations, and has made special arrangements in developed regions such as Europe and America; the Company has obtained implied licenses for two CAR-T cell Class I biological new drugs and five indications, covering multiple myeloma, pediatric and adult leukemia, lymphoma, and renal cancer among solid tumors. The registered clinical trials are progressing smoothly and have achieved excellent clinical data; the Company has laid out more than 10 CAR-T R&D pipelines for leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, lymphoma, gastrointestinal cancer, lung cancer, liver cancer, breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, etc., and has already made breakthrough progress. Indications such as colorectal cancer, gastric cancer, and breast cancer have entered the registered clinical application stage, and a global leading breakthrough in the field of CAR-T technology for solid tumors is about to be achieved; while preparing to build a cell new drug manufacturing base in China, the enterprise is also actively promoting the globalization strategy for the transformation and application of achievements. It has successively reached agreements with multiple institutions in Europe and America, established overseas R&D branches, and expanded its international market commercial layout; in the next 3 to 5 years, the enterprise strives to achieve the market launch of more than 3 Class I cell new drugs, with annual sales revenue exceeding 20 billion yuan.
