Orient Securities Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") is a comprehensive securities company approved by the China Securities Regulatory Commission. Its predecessor, Orient Securities Co., Ltd., commenced operations on March 9, 1998, with its headquarters in Shanghai. The Company's registered capital currently stands at RMB 8.497 billion. On March 23, 2015, the Company successfully listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (stock code: 600958), and on July 8, 2016, it successfully issued and listed H-shares (share code: 03958), becoming the fifth A+H listed securities firm in the industry.
After more than 20 years of development, the Company has grown from a securities firm with only 586 employees and 36 business outlets into a listed securities and financial holding group with total assets exceeding RMB 400 billion, over 8,000 employees, 179 branches across 89 cities nationwide, providing comprehensive, one-stop professional comprehensive financial services including securities, futures, asset management, wealth management, investment banking, investment advisory, and securities research.
The Company wholly owns Shanghai Orient Futures Co., Ltd., Shanghai Orient Securities Asset Management Co., Ltd., Shanghai Orient Securities Capital Investment Co., Ltd., Orient Financial Holding (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Orient Securities Innovation Investment Co., Ltd., while also holding a stake as a major shareholder in China Universal Asset Management Co., Ltd.
