Taikong Animation

Taikong Animation was founded by 5 former senior animation artists from Disney, with studios in Los Angeles and Wuhan. Three of the founders are Oscar judges. Its first work, "One Small Step", was nominated for the 2019 Academy Award for Animated Short Film.

Team members have been nominated for multiple Academy Awards, VES Visual Effects Awards, Annie Animation Awards, etc. Their works include Zootopia, Big Hero 6, Feast, Dragon Boy, Frozen, One Small Step, Moana, Hotel Transylvania, Popeye, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, etc.

"One Small Step" received a nomination for the 91st Academy Award, won 48 international film festival awards, and was selected for 138 international film festivals. In China, it won the Gold Award for Animation Short Film at the 16th China Animation Golden Dragon Award, the Silver Award for Animation Short Film at the Shanghai International Film Festival, the Gold Award at the China International Cartoon & Animation Festival New Light Award, the Golden Monkey Award at the Hangzhou International Animation Festival, and the Golden Dragon Award at the Guangzhou International Animation Festival. It has been collected and screened by major museums, art galleries, schools, and other institutions worldwide, including Studio Ghibli and Disney, and represented China in the "China Animation Japan Tour" organized by the State Council Information Office, the National Radio and Television Administration, and the Chinese Embassy in Japan, winning the China Gold Award at the 21st DIGICON6 ASIA Awards in Japan. The Taikong Animation brand was ranked among the top 10 of the 2019 China Cultural and Creative New Brands.

Taikong Animation continues to create premium works for global audiences and enterprises, building brands and IPs. It collaborated with the global homestay giant Airbnb to create an IP and the 2020 Spring Festival hit animated short "Fu"; collaborated with the world-renowned game company Supercell from Switzerland to create storyboards, character designs, and animated shorts for "Clash Royale"; collaborated with the Japanese travel company TRAVELKO to continuously create IPs, characters, and animated shorts; collaborated with Amazon in the United States to create new images, new designs, new IPs, and animated promotional videos; and collaborated with Duke University in the United States to develop and create character images and promotional videos for Duke Kunshan.
