Shanghai Sailun Biotechnology Co., Ltd., established in 1999, is a high-tech biomedical enterprise specializing in antitoxins and antiserums. On March 11, 2022, the company was listed on the Science and Technology Innovation Board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (stock code: 688163). The company's main products include equine tetanus immunoglobulin (F(ab')2), antivenom serum series products, and anti-rabies serum, all of which are included in the "National Basic Medical Insurance, Work-Related Injury Insurance and Maternity Insurance Drug Catalog (2017 Edition)" issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security. The equine tetanus immunoglobulin (F(ab')2) and antivenom serum series were included in the "Catalog of Demonstration Drugs for Direct Online Purchase in Emergency (Rescue) Treatment" by the National Health and Family Planning Commission in 2015. Among these, equine tetanus immunoglobulin (F(ab')2) is a "new generation tetanus antitoxin product" developed by the company using modern column chromatography purification technology and improving the traditional tetanus antitoxin production process. Its application has significantly reduced the positive reaction rate caused by heterologous proteins, and markedly decreased the incidence of allergic reactions and serum sickness. The antivenom serum series products are specific emergency drugs for snakebite treatment and have contributed to saving lives.
