长沙中传变速箱有限公司于2014年1月26日挂牌成立，是中国航发中传机械有限公司的控股子公司，承担着中国航发中传机械有限公司非航空民品的研发、生产与销售；是中国航发中传机械有限公司非航空产业激励机制改革试点单位。 长沙中传变速箱有限公司由中国航发中传机械有限公司、杭叉集团及部分自然人（新公司经营管理层及部分骨干人员）共同出资设立，公司的形式为有限责任公司，中国航发中传机械有限公司控股比例为51.8%，杭叉集团控股20.2%，公司经营管理层持股28%。 公司共承担着两大系列产品的研发、生产与销售，一是工业车辆变速箱；二是精密齿轮加工。
