The headquarters of China Kweichow Moutai Distillery (Group) Co., Ltd. is located in Maotai Town by the scenic Chishui River in northern Guizhou Province, at longitude 106°22′E, latitude 27°51′N, altitude 423 meters, covering an area of about 15,000 mu, of which the geographical indication product protection area for Moutai liquor is 15.03 square kilometers, with more than 36,000 employees. The Group has 30 wholly-owned subsidiaries and holding companies, and holds shares in 21 companies, involving industries including baijiu, health liquor, wine, finance, cultural tourism, education, hotels, real estate, and upstream and downstream of baijiu. It is a national first-class enterprise, a super-large enterprise, a national outstanding enterprise (Golden Horse Award), and a national advanced quality-benefit enterprise. For nearly a century, Kweichow Moutai liquor has won 18 international gold awards. Moutai liquor is an excellent baijiu brand integrating green food, organic food, and geographical indication products, and has been awarded the title of "National Name Card," and its unique brewing process has been listed in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage.
Moutai Group owns four baijiu-producing subsidiaries: Guizhou Moutai Co., Ltd., China Kweichow Moutai Distillery (Group) Health Liquor Co., Ltd., China Kweichow Moutai Distillery (Group) Technology Development Company, and China Kweichow Moutai Distillery (Group) Xijiu Co., Ltd. Xijiu Company is an enterprise acquired by the Group, with its factory located in Xishui, Guizhou, and is an independent baijiu brand; the Technology Development Company is located in the urban area of Renhuai, Guizhou, focusing on R&D and production, and its liquor products are mainly sold through TV and telephone shopping; while China Kweichow Moutai Distillery (Group) Health Liquor Co., Ltd. and the Co., Ltd. are both located in Guoju Community, Maotai Town, sharing the same origin and the unique natural conditions of water, climate, and soil as Guoju Moutai. After nearly 30 years of construction and development, China Kweichow Moutai Distillery (Group) Health Liquor Co., Ltd. has become a professional brewing company integrating health liquor and baijiu production. Coinciding with the 100th anniversary of Moutai's Panama Gold Award in 2015, Health Liquor launched its core mid-range brand in 2016—the "Century Story" series baijiu.
