Jiangxi Nuclear Industry Surveying and Mapping Institute

Jiangxi Nuclear Industry Surveying and Mapping Institute is located in Honggutan New District, Nanchang City. Founded in 1966, it is affiliated with the Jiangxi Provincial Nuclear Industry Geology Bureau. It is one of the first batch of Grade-A surveying and mapping qualification units issued by the National Administration of Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation; it is a group member of the Chinese Society for Geodesy, Photogrammetry and Cartography, the Jiangxi Surveying and Geographic Information Industry Association, the Jiangxi Provincial Surveying and Mapping Society, and the Jiangxi Remote Sensing Information Technology Application Association. It possesses qualifications in engineering surveying, cadastral surveying and mapping, real estate surveying and mapping, photogrammetry and remote sensing, geographic information systems, geodetic surveying, map compilation, as well as land reclamation engineering planning and design institutions, land planning institutions, and land registration agencies, and has passed ISO9001:2008 certification. It is a surveying and mapping team that strives for perfection and dares to fight and win.
Over the more than forty years since its establishment, our institute has made outstanding contributions to China's uranium geology cause and has received numerous national and ministerial awards. Among them, the gravity survey project of the Xiangshan uranium ore field won a ministerial second prize, the aerial survey topographic map of the Le'an survey area in Jiangxi Province using the pile-point method won the second prize for scientific and technological progress at the ministerial level from the China National Nuclear Corporation, and the research on remote sensing image characteristics of China's uranium deposits won the second prize from the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense of the People's Republic of China.
Over the past more than twenty years, in the second entrepreneurship of the nuclear industry, our institute has actively expanded into the civil surveying and mapping field, continuously updated production technologies and methods, explored advanced enterprise management models, and achieved remarkable results. The surveying and mapping market covers more than ten provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions across the country. In 2007, it went abroad and completed the land survey project of the Azelik mining area in Niger, receiving praise and commendations from superiors and client units. Our institute is a AAA credit enterprise and a contract-honoring and trustworthy unit in Jiangxi Province, and an A-level tax credit enterprise of the Jiangxi Provincial Local Taxation Bureau; it has been repeatedly rated as an advanced collective in the provincial surveying and mapping industry and the Jiangxi Provincial Nuclear Industry Geology Bureau, and has successively won 2 National Excellent Surveying and Mapping Engineering Awards, 5 Provincial Excellent Surveying and Mapping Engineering Awards, and 10 Prefecture-level Excellent Surveying and Mapping Engineering Awards.
Our institute currently has 254 professional and technical personnel of various types, including 2 professor-level senior engineers, 35 with senior titles, 41 with intermediate titles, 15 surveying and mapping technical personnel with master's degrees or above, and graduates from universities, colleges, and secondary schools accounting for 90% of the total. Currently, 5 people have obtained the qualification of registered surveyor. It possesses a low-altitude remote sensing system, 23 sets of GPS positioning systems, 40 sets of various imported total stations, 12 sets of precision levels, large color scanners, plotters, and a batch of advanced digital surveying equipment, as well as all-digital photogrammetric workstations, ArcGIS, MAPGIS, AutoCAD, Kaisi, Ruide, and various excellent mapping software, with strong production and scientific research capabilities.
