Beijing Residential Architectural Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company"), established in 1983, is a member subsidiary of Beijing Urban Construction Group Co., Ltd., a leading enterprise in Beijing's construction industry and one of ENR's global and international top contractors. After more than 40 years of development, the Company shoulders social responsibilities, adheres to the corporate goal of "building a first-class team, creating first-class designs, and generating first-class benefits," strives to realize the vision of "design leads life, innovation creates the future," and persists in a professional and distinctive development path, growing into a design enterprise with industry influence, foresight, and innovation. Based on the regulatory data of some construction drawing designs for Beijing construction projects from 2022 to 2024, the Company has ranked first in the construction scale of new and renovated residential projects in Beijing for three consecutive years.
The Company holds Class A qualifications for architectural design, landscape design, and urban-rural planning compilation, and has been rated as a "National Integrity Unit in Architectural Design Industry" by the China Exploration and Design Association for many consecutive years. In 2010, it was recognized as a National High-tech Enterprise, and is also a Zhongguancun High-tech Enterprise, a Beijing Design Innovation Center, a technical supporting unit for green building review and evaluation labeling in Beijing, and a member of multiple industry associations and technological innovation alliances.
The Company gathers experts and innovative talents from multiple fields in the industry. Currently, it has 137 senior and principal engineers, and 114 national first-class registered engineering technicians. A total of 152 experts have been selected into government and industry association expert pools.
The Company has long been committed to technological innovation, with five R&D centers: prefabricated building R&D center, ultra-low energy building research center, green building center, BIM center, and residential product research center, forming six core technologies: high-standard housing, prefabricated and steel-structure housing, green and zero-carbon buildings, ultra-low energy and energy management platforms, interior industrialization and smart home platforms, and BIM and project management platforms. To date, the Company has won more than 300 national, provincial, and industry awards. It has completed over 60 scientific research topics and key projects from institutions such as the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, and the Beijing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and has led or participated in the compilation of more than 80 national, industry, local, and group standards, and has obtained 10 invention patents and 47 utility model and appearance design patents.
With technological innovation as the engine and the mission of creating a high-quality living environment, the Company is committed to becoming a nationally leading green technology residential engineering consulting service institution, providing high-quality solutions for the entire process and whole industry chain of residential construction. In the first national "Good Housing" design competition, the Company won two first prizes and one second prize, and completed the implementation of the national first "Good Housing" demonstration project under the architect responsibility model, leading the practice. It led the compilation of the "Beijing High-quality Commercial Residential Design Guidelines" and a collection of excellent project cases, effectively promoting the introduction of Beijing's "Good Housing" policies in a tiered manner. The Company has deeply participated in the "Good Housing" technical guidelines, topics, and related work of the national Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, industry societies, and associations, leading the high-quality development of "Good Housing" construction in Beijing and even the whole country.
