SNP Instrumentation & Control System Engineering Co., Ltd. was jointly established by State Nuclear Power Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as SNPTC) and Shanghai Automation Instrumentation Co., Ltd. (referred to as SAC). On November 30, 2007, SNPTC and SAC signed a cooperation agreement at the Great Hall of the People, deciding to jointly establish a joint venture company. On March 27, 2008, the Xuhui Branch of Shanghai Administration for Industry and Commerce issued a business license to the company. On March 30, 2008, SNP Instrumentation & Control System Engineering Co., Ltd. held its unveiling ceremony. The registered capital of SNP is RMB 200 million, with SNPTC investing 51% and SAC investing 49%; SNP is a member unit of SNPTC. SNP is a specialized company engaged in the research, design, production, complete equipment supply, commissioning, and full lifecycle services of digital instrumentation and control systems for third-generation nuclear power. Currently, it undertakes the research and development of instrumentation and control topics under the national major science and technology special project for large advanced pressurized water reactors; it is the implementing unit for the instrumentation and control systems of AP1000 reliant projects; and it is the design and implementation unit for the instrumentation and control systems of inland AP1000 nuclear power plants. The business scope of SNP includes: engineering technical services such as design, system integration, installation and commissioning of nuclear power instrumentation and control systems; complete equipment supply for nuclear power instrumentation and control; research and development of nuclear power instrumentation and control equipment; spare parts and operational technical support for nuclear power instrumentation and control systems; and other nuclear power-related businesses such as system simulation, power plant management systems, weak current engineering, and medium and low voltage electrical equipment.
