Chongqing Chemical & Pharmaceutical Holding (Group) Company (abbreviated as "Chongqing Chemical & Pharmaceutical Group") was established in August 2000. It is a large state-owned solely-funded holding group company funded by the Chongqing Municipal Government, integrating R&D, production, and marketing. It owns two listed companies: Chongqing Pharmaceutical Holdings and Chongqing Three Gorges Paint. Its businesses cover three major industrial sectors—chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and salt industry—across 18 production and sales fields, mainly producing synthetic ammonia, urea, chlor-alkali, methanol, paint, methionine, chloroprene rubber, vat dyes, hydrazine hydrate, melamine, modern pesticides, 84 disinfectant, Jinqiancao granules, amoxicillin capsules, artemisinin, ophthalmic preparations, and other products (medicines). It has 2 national-level enterprise technology centers, 27 municipal-level enterprise technology centers, 24 municipal-level R&D platforms, 6 "China Well-known Trademarks," 17 Chongqing municipal famous trademarks, and 33 Chongqing famous (well-known) products.
