In 1988, the "Moist Exposed Burn Ointment" invented by MEBO founder Xu Rongxiang received a new drug certificate from the Chinese Ministry of Health, becoming the first approved new traditional Chinese medicine after the implementation of China's Drug Administration Law in 1984. The ointment and the Moist Exposed Burn Therapy (MEBT/MEBO) were among the ten medical technologies promoted and popularized nationwide by the Ministry of Health during the Eighth Five-Year Plan. MEBO Group has two headquarters, one in China and one in the United States, and owns multiple cross-national burn, wound, ulcer, and skin regenerative medicine and medical enterprises in the United States, China, Thailand, India, Malaysia, and other countries. It has dozens of series of regenerative products with independent intellectual property rights, including pharmaceuticals, health products, nutritional foods, beauty and skincare products, and medical devices. In over 70 countries, more than 200,000 doctors use MEBO technology and products in more than 20 fields, curing over 40 million burn and wound patients and achieving in-situ regenerative restoration of damaged organs, including extensive deep burns, diabetic ulcers, severed fingertips, open defect wounds, lower limb ulcers, and deep pressure sores. MEBO Group holds over 100 international invention patents in China, the United States, Europe, Japan, South Korea, Russia, and other countries and regions, including core organ regeneration patents for potential regenerative cells and their cultivation methods, as well as the repair and regeneration of physiological tissues and functional organs through in-vivo and in-situ stem cell cultivation. The works by MEBO founder Xu Rongxiang, "Science of Human Body Regenerative Restoration" and "Comprehensive Treatment of Burns," are both collected by the U.S. National Library of Medicine. The English edition of "Burns Regenerative Medicine and Therapy," published by Karger Publishers in Switzerland, is collected by over a dozen prestigious universities, including Harvard University, Princeton University, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. MEBO has international basic and clinical research centers, including the Beijing MEBO Burn and Wound Research Institute, the Beijing Rongxiang Regenerative Medicine Research Institute, and the U.S. Clinical Research Center. After the passing of founder Dr. Xu Rongxiang, the new chairman of the board, Xu Peng, led MEBO to expand a series of international scientific research, corporate, and social platforms: joining the Clinton Global Initiative and implementing the MEBO Initiative "Regenerative Medical Technology Physician Training," benefiting over 20,000 Chinese doctors; joining the United Nations "Every Woman, Every Child" China Partner Network; cooperating with the Los Angeles County Department of Health to plan "Regenerative Medical Technology Training" in the Los Angeles health system; and establishing the "Xu Rongxiang Regenerative Therapy Center" in collaboration with Harvard Medical School. MEBO has begun multi-faceted and multi-level international cooperation, conducting research on regenerative restoration of damaged human organs, clinical promotion and application, and cultivation of regenerative science talents and social leaders.
