PowerChina Henan Electric Power Survey & Design Institute Co., Ltd., founded in August 1958, is affiliated with PowerChina Group, a Fortune Global 500 enterprise, and is rated as an A-level enterprise within the group. It is a large national comprehensive design enterprise with Class A qualification for national engineering design. In 2015, PowerChina Group merged Henan Electric Power Survey & Design Institute with Hainan Electric Power Design & Research Institute to establish PowerChina Central China Electric Power Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd.

Our institute holds various national qualifications, including Class A for comprehensive engineering design, comprehensive engineering survey, engineering consulting, engineering supervision, and surveying and mapping, as well as Class A for cost consulting in the electric power industry, approval certificate for civil air defense engineering design (Class A), license for special equipment (pressure pipelines), nuclear power consulting, and foreign engineering contracting, among other industry qualifications.

Our institute is organized into 11 business divisions, including Power Generation Engineering Company, Power Grid Engineering Company, New Energy Company, Information and Communication Engineering Company (Intelligent Distribution Network Engineering Company), Construction Engineering Institute, Survey Engineering Company, Supervision Company, Energy Planning Consulting Institute, Digital Engineering Center, Overseas Business Department, and General Contracting Company. Additionally, Hainan Electric Power Design & Research Institute operates as a wholly-owned subsidiary. We have also established institutions such as Henan Energy Planning Research Center, Post-Doctoral Research Station, and Henan Thermal Power Clean and Energy-Saving Engineering Technology Research Center.

In recent years, our institute has actively explored new models of investment and operation, participating in real estate projects, landfill gas power generation, and other business development, as well as venturing into overseas investment projects to extend the industry chain.
