AVIC Jiangxi Hongdu Aviation Industry Group Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as AVIC Hongdu) is the birthplace of New China's first aircraft. Founded in 1951, it was originally named Nanchang Aircraft Manufacturing Company, with its predecessor being the state-owned Hongdu Machinery Factory. It was one of the 156 key construction projects during China's First Five-Year Plan period. In response to the needs of enterprise development, it was restructured in 1998 to establish a large enterprise group centered on Hongdu Group Company, with 24 member enterprises and 1 enterprise technology center, integrating scientific research, production, and operation. The enterprise is currently affiliated with the Aviation Industry Corporation of China.
