Introduction to China Arts and Crafts (Group) Corporation and Its Main Business: China Arts and Crafts (Group) Corporation is a central enterprise directly managed by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC). It was established in February 2007 through the merger of two central enterprises, the former China National Arts and Crafts Import and Export Corporation and China Arts and Crafts (Group) Corporation, against the backdrop of the state's vigorous promotion of structural adjustment in the layout of central enterprises and SASAC's adjustment of the layout of central cultural enterprises. The establishment of the new group marks China Arts and Crafts Group's role as a practitioner of the national cultural strategy among central enterprises, shouldering the sacred mission of promoting arts and crafts culture, revitalizing the arts and crafts economy, developing the arts and crafts industry, and spreading traditional Chinese culture to the world. China Arts and Crafts Group has now formed four main businesses: arts and crafts raw materials, arts and crafts products, jewelry, and cultural services. It owns six operating companies covering the upstream and downstream of the industry: China Zhongjin Technology, China Jewelry, China National Arts and Crafts Import and Export, China Arts and Crafts, China Drawnwork, and China Arts and Crafts Exhibition. The total assets reach 10 billion yuan, with annual sales revenue of about 25 billion yuan, achieving nearly 900 million yuan in taxes and profits, of which total profits are 500 million yuan, and total imports and exports are about 4 billion US dollars. As the chairman unit of the China Arts and Crafts Association and the China Toy Association, vice chairman unit of the China Gold Association, chairman unit of the Shanghai Diamond Exchange, and a council member unit of the Shanghai Gold Exchange, as well as the reputation and resources of a legal importer of platinum and ivory in China, these have collectively shaped the image of China Arts and Crafts Group as the leading enterprise in the entire industry. As of June 1, 2016, the China Association of International Trade and Economic Statistics held the 2016 (7th) China Foreign Trade Top 500 Enterprises Forum and Ranking Release Conference in Beijing. China Arts and Crafts (Group) Corporation entered the top 100 with a total import and export volume of 3,025,343,185 US dollars, ranking 89th among China's top 500 foreign trade enterprises in 2015, and 19th among the 35 central enterprises in the top 500. It continued to rank first in the top 10 of China's art industry among the top ten enterprises in the light industry.
