Gotion High-tech Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Gotion High-tech") is a national enterprise in China's power battery industry that entered the capital market earliest. It was successfully listed in May 2015 with stock code 002074. The company operates in business segments including power batteries for new energy vehicles, energy storage, and power transmission and distribution equipment. Under it are Hefei Gotion High-tech Power Energy Co., Ltd., the Industrial Research General Institute, the Capital Center, and Dongyuan Electric, four major segments.
Hefei Gotion High-tech Power Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Hefei Gotion"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gotion High-tech, was established in May 2006. Its headquarters is located in Xinzhan High-tech Zone, Hefei, with multiple production bases in Hefei, Lujiang, Nanjing, Suzhou, Qingdao, Tangshan, and other places.
The company is one of the earliest domestic enterprises engaged in independent R&D, production, and sales of power lithium-ion batteries for new energy vehicles. It specializes in the R&D, production, and operation of new-type lithium-ion batteries and their materials, holding core technology intellectual property rights. Main products include lithium iron phosphate materials and cells, ternary cells, power battery packs, battery management systems, and energy storage battery packs. The products are widely used in new energy vehicles such as pure electric commercial vehicles, passenger cars, logistics vehicles, and hybrid electric vehicles, and the company has established long-term strategic cooperation relationships with many major domestic new energy vehicle manufacturers.
As a national enterprise technology center and a unit undertaking three national "863" major projects, the company has participated in three new energy vehicle innovation projects. It has successively passed ISO9000 and other "three-standard integrated" certifications and TS16949 quality system certification, and has been rated as a national CNAS-accredited testing center. It has established global R&D centers in Hefei, China; Shanghai, China; Silicon Valley, USA; Cleveland, USA; Singapore; and Tsukuba, Japan. In 2016, the projects led by Gotion High-tech, namely "R&D and Integrated Application of High Specific Energy Power Lithium-ion Batteries," "Annual Production of 600 Million Ampere-hour Lithium-ion Power Battery Production Base Project," and "New Energy Vehicle Lithium Power Battery Intelligent Factory" project, were successfully declared as the major special project for new energy vehicles under the national "13th Five-Year Plan," the special project for enhancing manufacturing core competitiveness in 2016 by the National Development and Reform Commission, and the key project for intelligent factories of new energy vehicle lithium power batteries by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, respectively.
The company is a unit of the National Torch Plan project, a high-tech enterprise, a winner of the Anhui Provincial Government Quality Award, a pilot unit for environmental protection innovation in Anhui Province, and it has a national post-doctoral research workstation and a provincial academician workstation. In January 2019, the trademark of Gotion High-tech was recognized as China's famous trademark by the State Intellectual Property Administration.
