重庆市疾病预防控制中心成立于2000年12月，中心内设职能处室6个，专业所9个，位于重庆市渝中区长江2路8号。中心以硬件建设为依托，以队伍建设为基础，不断增强政府职能的履行能力和公共卫生服务的保障能力。中心实验室于2003年通过国家实验室认可，拥有国家认可资质8项，省市认可资质7项。
