The Overseas Business Division of China Communications First Highway Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as CFHEC) is affiliated with China Communications First Highway Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (English abbreviation: CFHEC). The company is one of the large state-owned enterprises in China that entered the international engineering contracting market early, with its predecessor being the Aid-to-Mongolia Office of the Ministry of Communications established in 1958. Currently, the company has set up ten regional centers globally, 33 marketing institutions, and ongoing projects in 20 countries, covering four continents including Asia, Africa, Europe, and America. The contract value of ongoing projects exceeds US$8 billion, and the global workforce exceeds 12,000 people.
The Overseas Business Division is fully responsible for the company's overseas business, with business areas covering transportation infrastructure, large cities, full water areas, industrial infrastructure, and government services. As a practitioner of the "Belt and Road" initiative and a pioneer in China-Africa cooperation, the Overseas Business Division, grounded in infrastructure construction, strengthens its role as a contractor, develops as a developer, and excels as an operator. From the Mosul Fourth Bridge, an external construction project in the reform and opening-up of the transportation system, to the Addis Ababa-Adama Expressway in Ethiopia, the first road in East Africa, and to the construction and operation of the Mombasa-Nairobi Railway, known as the "Project of the Century", it has participated in the construction of flagship projects under the "Belt and Road" initiative in multiple countries, forming an efficient and fast international market development network, possessing an efficient international engineering management team and long-term stable strategic partners, achieving 24-hour global resource response.
