Wuhan University of Technology Hydrogen Power Technology Co., Ltd. is dedicated to the technology development and industrialization of membrane electrode assemblies (MEAs), the core component of fuel cells, based on the advanced fuel cell technology of Wuhan University of Technology. The company was the first in China to successfully develop CCM technology-based MEAs. Its products are exported in large quantities to 10 countries and regions including the United States, Germany, and South Korea, with cumulative sales exceeding 2 million pieces. Its MEA market share ranks fifth globally, making it a domestic and international MEA supplier. The company's products are widely used by Plug Power (NASDAQ-listed), a leading fuel cell forklift company in the United States, and it has been awarded as an excellent MEA supplier. Plug Power's fuel cell forklifts are widely used in logistics warehouses of Walmart, Amazon, and others. Its vehicle-use MEA products are widely used in fuel cell commercial vehicles equipped by Beijing SinoHytec, a top domestic fuel cell system company, and were demonstrated during the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics; they are also批量搭载于 Dongfeng Hydrogen Boat, Skywell, Xiamen King Long, and Zhongtong Bus, achieving large-scale application.
Professor Pan Mu, the company's scientist and founder, has been engaged in fuel cell research and development for over 20 years. He currently serves as a professor at Wuhan University of Technology, an expert in renewable energy and hydrogen energy for the Ministry of Science and Technology, chairman of the National Fuel Cell and Flow Battery Standardization Technical Committee, and vice chairman of the Fuel Cell Branch of the China Electrical Equipment Industry Association.
